The Role:


The Project Officer will be part of a multi -disciplinary team environment, supporting the development and implementation, administration, and maintenance of aviation projects to meet the current and future needs of the Aviation Capability Group.

This is a temporary position available asap and is for an initial period up until December 31, 2023, with possibility of extension.

This role is paid at AO5 level under the State Government Certified Agreement 2019. Located in the Brisbane CBD, close to all public transport.


About you:

- starter who is motivated and resourceful with strong planning and problem -solving skills and can work autonomously.
Experience in the aviation industry is not essential but highly regarded.
Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.


Your Key Accountabilities will include:


  • Support multidisciplinary teams involved in the planning, development, implementation, review, and evaluation of aviation projects.
  • Provide advice and assist in the preparation of documentation including project plans, reports, submissions, briefings, and status reports relevant to project activities.
  • Assist in the provision of advice relating to the implementation of policies, practices and procedures relating to project activities.
  • Liaise, consult, and negotiate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders as required to achieve project outcomes and milestones.
  • Manage and maintain project records in accordance with relevant policies and procedure

In compliance with CASA Drug and Alcohol Management Plan requirements, the preferred applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment testing and participate in the QGAir Drug and Alcohol Management Program.

Domestic and international travel may be required
