Are you a highly driven professional with a keen interest in financial markets and trading?


As a Portfolio Implementation Analyst, you'll work directly with key stakeholders and will play a vital role in growing and implementing the Macquarie managed account offering, a significant part of our Wrap Investment Platforms business that has over $122 billion in funds under administration.


Utilising your excellent communication and relationship building skills, this role will see you liaising with external brokers, fund managers and vendors and collaborating across different divisions of Macquarie to achieve positive outcomes for our clients.


Bringing with you strong critical thinking and analytical skills and the ability to understand new ideas and concepts quickly, you'll be able to gain a thorough understanding of the Macquarie managed account offering which is made up of both retail and wholesale products.

You'll be given the opportunity to build on your existing knowledge of financial markets and trading and develop a deep level of knowledge of a specialised sector.


In this role you will:


  • Set up and implement a risk framework to reduce operational risk and improve team adherence to agreed SLA
  • Work with the Project and Wealth Leadership Teams to prioritize and implement key technical improvements
  • Review and management of client models for performance reporting
  • Be responsible for product management, resolving account issues and contributing towards presentations and reports to Investment Committees and Boards

To excel in this role, you will:

  • Have a keen interest in trading and financial markets
  • Have a familiarity with ASX listing and settlement rules
  • Thrive managing work using agile principles and frameworks
  • Be curious and selfmotivated, with a passion for developing exceptional client and user experiences
  • Be an analytical thinker who can process data, synthesise into insights and present to stakeholders in compelling ways that drive strategic change
  • Thrive in a collaborative team, bringing excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Committed to best practice and sharing ideas and inspiration within the team and across the organisation
  • Be comfortable spanning conversations with a variety of technical and business stakeholders
  • Have exposure to SQL, VBA, Iress, CHESS, Pega, Garradin, & bookings and settlement operations are a bonus
  • Strong excel skills and an understanding of SQL and VBA is preferable
