  • Seeking an experienced Operations/ Supply Chain Professional to open a brandnew distribution facility
  • Previous experience in Manufacturing/Pharmaceutical/Life Science industries would be highly regarded.


Seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join a global organisation specialising in the Health and Pharmaceutical sector open their first office/distribution centre locally in Australia.


My client is headquartered in America, with offices globally in the UK and Asia and now opening in Sydney, Australia.

You will be an influential leader in the creation and implementation of the Australian workforce.

As the site will be in its start-up phase, we are seeking an entrepreneurial leader with a proactive and committed work ethic to lead and drive the business

Responsibilities within the role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Develops vision and strategy to drive operational processes
  • Bringing value to the business; with specific focus on direct operations in the Sydney facility including managing the facility, managing inventory and stock levels, customer order fulfillment, controlling activities, and HR activities.
  • Manages procurement and planning teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels for finished goods
  • Creates and fosters high performance culture
  • Recruitment and HR function
  • Stakeholder and vendor management of thirdparty service providers
  • Develops and maintains Customer Experience Centre
  • Acts as an idea generator and project executor across departments (warehouse, production, and regional portfolio innovation) to drive execution of improvement initiatives to meet business objectives
  • Develops and manages departmental expense and capital budgets.
  • Coordinate customer technical support and training activities with Sales & Marketing staff as needed
  • Proactively review, assess and analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and growth in line with business goals and objectives (locally and globally)
  • Handles various other duties as delegated by the VP, Global Strategic Operations

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree or certificate in business related field preferred.
  • 510 years of experience in an operations/manufacturing environment as a supply chain professional
  • Expertise in major supply chain functions such as sourcing, procurement, and inventory management
  • Familiarity with GMP and ISO preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat required.
  • Deep knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) required.
  • Experience in Microsoft Navision preferred.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Must have the personal stature, business acumen, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Customercentric and keenly aware of markets, trends, competitors and purchasing best practices
  • Results focused and detail oriented
  • Must have indepth analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Must be able to adapt and flex to a changing environment.
  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgement.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
