The role with us

Telstra InfraCo is currently seeking a Facility Manager to join our Facility Operations team.

In this unique position, you will have the opportunity to oversee facility management activities while actively participating in hands-on, day to day building operations, including first-in response fault resolution.

You will manage asset maintenance and performance to ensure site resilience, achieved through optimal asset performance. We are seeking an individual with solid experience in one or more of the technologies listed below.

Key responsibilities

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Management and operation of complex facility asset systems supporting telecommunications network equipment at Telstra's critical network facilities in Perth.

Oversite and/or participation in the maintenance of engineering systems including:

  • Standby Generators
  • Electrical Distribution Systems including DC power systems, UPS and STS
  • HVAC including chilled water systems.
  • Fire protection systems
  • Plumbing and other ancillary services
  • Risk assessment of work plans to ensure the protection of site integrity.
  • Initial assessment of site issues and if required, secondary response management and prioritisation.
  • Act as the principal site-based contact to building stakeholders and external authorities.
  • Audit and inspection of facility assets.
About you

  • If you are a proactive, handson professional with a passion for facility management and building operations, this is the role for you. We are looking for an individual with experience in facility maintenance in a complex commercial or industrial environment, ideally with some exposure to telecommunications or data centre operations.
  • The position is an opportunity to develop skills across a diverse range of technologies in the telecommunications industry and is a potential career pathway for someone with an electrical or refrigeration trade qualification.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential for effectively liaising with internal stakeholders, external contractors, and building occupants.
