About Our Client:

Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety, and environmental performance.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities will include:

Manage projects through the lifecycle (pre-feasibility study, feasibility study, execution, commissioning, handover, and closeout)

Management of all project elements (cost, quality, schedule, site delivery & safety) related to Sustaining Capital projects.

Assure the conformance to RTIO technical standards, project schedule, quality and HSE management systems.

Provide guidance and support to project engineers, site engineers and on-site project advisors.

Review and develop responses to Consultant and Contractor queries in a timely manner.

Provide leadership in the management of all aspects of health, safety, environment & community in relation to the capital projects.

Ensure all site construction activities are delivered in line with approved scope of works and technical standards.

Skills & Experience Required:

Project management / project engineering experience within a mining, marine or heavy industrial environment beneficial.

Mechanical or Civil Engineering experience beneficial

Relevant experience in small diameter piping beneficial.

Experience with delivering capital projects.

Previous project management experience for large scale mining clients will be beneficial.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive and trusting relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
