About the role
The Grant Writer and Coordinator is integral to keeping track of the latest progress and stories from every project KKT supports, and effectively sharing this information with the KKT team, Trusts, Foundations and supporters.
This person will primarily be responsible for identifying what information is required from our partners and when, collating that information effectively and sharing updates on key developments for different audiences - primarily in writing - with the objective of supporting the continued growth of KKT's fundraising income.
All KKT staff are expected to adhere to KKT policies and procedures including Privacy, Working With Children, and Work Health and Safety, and to demonstrate KKT's values in their approach to work (Aboriginal-led, working with heart, transparent and adaptive, respect for interconnectedness, future focused).
The Grant Writer and Coordinator will:
- Manage KKT's cross-organisational project reporting processes: identifying what information we require and when, how it is best stored and used, repurposing it for different reports, sharing highlights with the KKT team, and maintaining oversight of reporting deadlines
- Effectively manage a portfolio of grant funders from initial identification, to cultivating a relationship, asking for support and deepening the relationship over time
- Provide fundraising support to the CEO to help grow and maintain relationships with a wider community of supporters, including writing general proposals and reports
- Coordinate endofgrant acquittal reports in line with the obligations and recognition requires of KKT funders, including financial and/or outcomesbased reports
- Review grantrelated systems and processes, leading the development of any necessary changes and training others to use these systems effectively
- Contribute to organisational and board reporting
