A little bit about us


The Financial Operations Section within the Business Services Branch supports the Department achieve its business goals by providing internal services, support and advice across procurement, grants, accounts, credit cards, travel and financial framework functions.

The Business Services Branch within Finance & Business Services Division also includes the SAP Services team, a Project Support Office and a Service Design team.


The opportunity we have available


The role is located in the Financial Operations Team, ensuring the effective delivery of support services associated with the administration of Departmental credit cards and travel related services.


Corporate Credit Cards are used within the Department for all travel-related expenditure and low value purchases of goods and services.


What will you do?

The main roles of the position include:

  • provide Credit Cardholder and travel Helpdesk services;-
  • maintain cardholder and card data in the Department's Credit Card System (SAP);-
  • assist in carrying out monthly monitoring of credit card usage-
  • assist in data collection for monthly credit card reports-
  • create/maintain QBT/AOT portal profiles-
  • liaise with internal and external customers and stakeholders-
  • maintain relevant procedural documentation-
  • assist to implement process improvement initiatives and-
  • undertake ad hoc tasks/projects as required.

We are looking for an organised, adaptive and highly motivated person who works well in a small team.- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong customer service skills Ability to learn new concepts quickly Problem-solving skills and ability to provide solutions to routine issues Capacity to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines and adapting positively to change Have an understanding of the requirements of Whole of Australian Government travel arrangements Ability to review and verify data with attention to detail and Experience in using SAP and QBT portals would highly desirable.
