GP required for weekend shifts and after hours on-call shifts with Silver Chain's Home Hospital program

Silver Chain are seeking a part time Doctor to provide medical care to clients in the WA Hospital at the Home (HATH) program on weekends and weekday afterhours.

General Practitioners who have 19AB & 19AA restrictions are eligible to apply.

About You:

Experience in GP, community or hospital medicine.

The role is to provide clinical advice and support to the Home Hospital team.

You will need well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Home Hospital Service:

Home Hospital provides parenteral therapy for stable patients in their homes for certain conditions that would otherwise require a hospital admission.

Home Hospital doctors are supported by a team of nurses who administer the treatment. The Doctors are involved with reviewing the patients and making decisions around the patients treatment plan.

Key Accountabilities:

To review patients in a timely manner in line with Silver Chain guidelines
Patients can be reviewed in their own homes or at one of Silver Chain's Home Hospital clinics
Demonstrate excellent communication with patients, family and team members through verbal and written communication whilst maintaining confidentiality
Practice in line with Silver Chain guidelines and clinical judgement
Support the interdisciplinary team in Home Hospital
Attend to paperwork and letters in line with Silver Chain policy and guidelines
Participate in the oncall roster to meet business needs
Participate in education and professional development of self and others
