In this role you will:


  • Provide comprehensive intelligence advice and assessments to management and stakeholders:
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the intelligence cycle and intelligence methodologies and concepts
  • Provide timely advice to management and stakeholders on operational, tactical and strategic issues
  • Provide timely and actionable intelligence to support investigations and assist in the prevention and reduction of corrupt and/or inappropriate behaviour
  • Contribute to both tactical and strategic intelligence functions and analyse and present intelligence information to management and authorised personnel and external agencies as required
  • Generate and disseminate intelligence products including Intelligence
  • Assessments Complaints Assessment Forms, Dissemination Memorandums, Analytical Charts and Strategic Intelligence products regarding corruption and corruption risks
  • Respond to information requests from key stakeholders, ensuring the exchange and release of information complies with relevant legislative provisions
  • Examine complaint trends data to identify indicators of emerging corruption risks and issues and inform broader corruption prevention strategies relating to corruption and risks across QCS for senior decision makers.
  • Coordinate the collection, evaluation, analysis and dissemination of intelligence information:
  • Gather, record, analyse and disseminate information to corrections management with a specific focus on corrupt and/or inappropriate behaviour and facilitating evidence-based early intervention systems.
  • Effectively brief on intelligence matters outlining key judgements, assumptions, information gaps and recommendations.
  • Collect, manage and record all intelligence case activities to support intelligencebased recommendations in line with accountability and transparency obligations.
  • Demonstrated ability to review a high volume of sensitive information and provide comprehensive analysis to inform decision making
  • High level of attention to detail and ensure standards within the QCS Intelligence Guidelines are maintained
  • High level of organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, coordinate activities and meet reporting timeframes
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and intelligence related policies and procedures.
  • Build capability of the Intelligence function across the PSGC:
  • Coordinate the maintenance of the Intelligence Management Plan to meet operational requirements
  • Support ESG's intelligence framework and processes and modernise and embed changes to the Intelligence Unit through improving intelligence methodologies, systems and processes guided by contemporary best practice.
  • Supervise, motivate and encourage the professional practice of staff in the performance of their duties.
  • Ensure Performance and Development Plans are completed.
Develop intelligence related training material, coordinate and deliver as required to PSGC intelligence staff.
Define, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures as part of PSGC's continuous process improvement.

Establish and maintain productive working relationships:

Work cooperatively with and support team members in ESG by working in a multidisciplinary team approach to the investigation of misconduct or corrupt conduct matters over a diverse work environment in a timely manner and to a high standard.
