The Opportunity

The Regulation Directorate sits within the Transport Policy and Regulation Division and is responsible for driving the Government's regulation and policy initiatives and by regulating people and vehicles, ensures improved road safety outcomes, and the protection of transport users and the public.


The Vehicle Operations Section undertakes varying functions that contribute to this important work including vehicle inspection, vehicle engineering services and standards, delivery of the Vehicle Identity Assessment Station (VIDAS) and Accident Towing Authority.

  • Efficiently managing resources to develop, deliver, and improve programs, policies, and staff performance.
  • Identifying performance outcomes, setting priorities, achieving objectives within deadlines, and making informed decisions.
  • Demonstrating cultural sensitivity and promoting respect for diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives

Requirements:


Special Conditions

  • This role is classified as a position of trust.
  • A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
  • A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, which must be renewed every five years before expiry.
  • The location is at Kateena Street, Regency Park.
  • Interstate and/or intrastate travel involving overnight absences and work outside normal hours and at weekends may be required.

Remuneration
PO4 - $109,060 to $118,690 per annum
