    Job description:
  • The Purpose of the role is to maintain and develop policies, procedures and systems to support internal controls, taxation compliance and external financial reporting for the Department.

    This role provides specialist advice, analysis and support to senior managers and staff on aspects relating to internal controls, taxation compliance and external financial reporting; and maintains effective relationships with Divisions and external stakeholders.

Hours per fortnight:

73.50 (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation)


Duties:


The Purpose of the role is to maintain and develop policies, procedures and systems to support internal controls, taxation compliance and external financial reporting for the Department.

This role provides specialist advice, analysis and support to senior managers and staff on aspects relating to internal controls, taxation compliance and external financial reporting; and maintains effective relationships with Divisions and external stakeholders.


Essential Requirements:


  • The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this position is to satisfy a preemployment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.

The following check is to be conducted:

  • Conviction check for Crimes involving Dishonesty.

Desirable Requirements:


  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Eligible for membership of CPA Australia, Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia or other professional body.
