This Experience Design Specialist role will work on initiatives within the Digital Operations & Technology Home Buying portfolio across customer, staff and partner facing digital channels.

You will utilise user centred design principles and methodologies to ensure we meet more customer needs on any device by offering the Group's Home Loan products and services through an integrated, simple and easy-to-use digital experience.

The DOT Experience Chapter is responsible for delivering the Customer Experience vision across all digital touch points for the retail arm of the Bank.

This team consists of Experience Designers, Visual Designers & Researchers who work closely with our agile squads & stakeholders to deliver customer driven outcomes.

Where will you go?

If you live the values and demonstrate the people and digital capabilities we can offer great opportunities for progression. This role can progress to a Senior Experience Designer role overseeing a portfolio of products and projects.

On any given week you will

  • Work autonomously with squads supported by the Experience Lead and a small team of designers focussed on the Home Buying service
  • Contribute to a cohesive UX strategy to support CommBank's home loan customers
  • Use data and exploratory research to understand the customer and business drivers behind the products you're designing, to deliver measurable outcomes
  • Work with diverse group of stakeholders including Executives, Product Owners, Dev/Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Legal and Compliance representatives
  • Work closely with delivery teams (some remote) to ensure they have the understanding, design assets and support they need to deliver excellent digital services
  • Deliver outcomes for our customers by designing and improving user interfaces in a variety of customer, staff and partner facing systems.
Your skills and experience

  • You are an enthusiastic problemsolver with excellent visualisation skills

You're good at:

  • Humancentred design, understanding the relationships between people's behaviours and digital products systems thinking
  • Designing for the holistic ecosystem beyond the screen, solving problems at all levels of detail: from the big picture to the nuts and bolts
  • Interaction modelling, for the web, mobile, and other scenarios
  • Prototyping, comfortable with various methodologies from rapid freehand sketching and whiteboard facilitation to fullyfledged interactive prototypes
  • Recognizing aesthetics and visual design, knowing the difference between "good" and "great" work
  • Strong information architecture and interaction design skills
  • Strong conceptual design skills; and responsive design skills
  • Experience in Agile and/or Lean projects
  • Sound knowledge of accessible design practises
  • Good stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong communication skills and commercial acumenSidekick
