As the flagship hotel for the Mercure brand within Australia we invite you to belong to something bigger.

We are a big hotel, looking for some big talent With 517 newly refurbished rooms, 9 conference rooms, and multiple food and beverage outlets, Mercure Sydney is on the look out for a storeperson.

We are and will continue to be, ANYTHING BUT NORMAL.


Job Description:


  • Responsible for sales & management of all group bookings of 10 rooms or more
  • Management of PCO group blocks relating to inventory, payment & group setup
  • Ensure a prompt input of reservations and data for all group enquiries & bookings
  • Preparation of group information sheets (group movements) and briefing of Hotel stakeholders prior to arrival of group
  • Manage Hotel inventory in relation to group reservations and monitor potential wash of business

Qualifications:


  • 12 years of experience in a Front Office or Reservations role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office & Opera
  • Service oriented with an eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment
  • Selfmotivated and energetic with a strong focus & passion for hotel operations
  • Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills
