We provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services, including maternity, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care, community health and state-wide specialist services to people and communities that are diverse in culture, age, socio-economic status, population and healthcare needs.

We are the largest provider of Maternity services in the Eastern region of Melbourne.

Maternity services are based at Angliss and Box Hill Hospitals, with additional antenatal care at Yarra Ranges Health in Lilydale.

About the role

The Postgraduate Midwifery Program offers an employment model consisting of 48 hours paid employment, per fortnight.

The Postgraduate Midwifery Student is provided experience across birthing, antenatal clinic, postnatal and special care nursery, with opportunities to experience other areas.


We take pride in providing excellence in health care delivery with innovation and research at the forefront of our practice.

Our primary partnership for this program is with Deakin University and the course is of 18 months' duration.

About you


To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Current Nursing registration with AHPRA

Recent clinical experience following completion of Graduate Nursing program

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills

Motivated, self-directed learner, receptive to feedback

Strong commitment to high quality, women-centred care

Enrolment or pre-enrolment in Graduate Diploma of Midwifery, Deakin University.

Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.

An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.

Essential:
Graduate Diploma of Midwifery placements are offered at Angliss Hospital (AH) and Box Hill Hospital (BHH). Please nominate your preference. Available opportunities will be discussed at interview.
