The Organisation:

Our valued client provides therapeutic accommodation options to increase Family, Kin, Foster, and Residential Care Stability.

They provide Intensive Therapeutic Crisis Accommodation for Young People who require expert residential care and where other models aren't able to meet their needs.


_The Role_:


The House Manager is responsible for the general oversight and management of Youth Workers and Senior Youth Workers who provide intensive therapeutic respite and interventions and temporary crisis accommodation, to young people of diverse backgrounds and ages and are experienced in dealing with complex to extreme behaviours.


Our Client implements tailored plans and a client centred approach to address individual needs in order to work holistically and collaboratively in achieving stability and permanency in primary placements.

The role is a permanent, full time role - Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm with OnCall responsibilities.

(OnCall Monday - Thursday two weeks per month, and Friday - Sunday once every 6-8 Weeks. OnCall allowance is paid).


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee the day to day running of the Program
  • Provide leadership, supervision and management of all staff members within the Program
  • Provide care, supervision, nurturance, stability and safety to young people living in out of home care for a range of protective reasons, and who require intensive input and specialised management, in order to assist with their positive physical, intellectual, emotional and prosocial development
  • Manage positive relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ensure the Program adheres to all reporting and documentation requirements
  • Write Safety Plans and contribute to Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Complete rosters that reflect smart rostering and industrial compliance
  • Plan and conduct developmentally appropriate individual and group activities consistent with meeting the young people's needs and goal in line with Case plans

Your Skills and Experience:


You will have experience in program management and leading a team to provide therapeutic care to vulnerable children and young people.

You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, including he ability to write using therapeutic language), and the ability to form strong stakeholder relationships.

To be Successful:

Diploma or above in a recognised industry qualification or relevant field - _Certificate IV applicants will be considered with 2+ years of relevant experience._

  • QLD Working with Childrens Check (Blue Card)
  • National Police Check
  • Valid QLD driver's license

Salary and Benefits:

$85,000 - $95, % Super:
