About the job

The role of Corporate Affairs Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of communications campaigns and initiatives across Australia and New Zealand that enhance Danone's reputation.


You will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and with the support of one direct report, take full ownership of designing and delivering the Corporate Affairs strategy.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Work closely with Danone's external public relations agencies throughout Australia and New Zealand
  • Partner with internal brand marketing teams to provide support on different PR campaigns and initiatives
  • Develop materials and assets including press releases, social media, imagery PowerPoint slide decks, newsletters and sustainability reports
  • Nurture and develop relationships with external charities and notforprofit groups to support Danone's CSR and sustainability agenda
  • Be a core member of the ANZ Crisis Management Team
  • Maintain and develop media contact database, managing all media interactions on behalf of the company, including preparation of briefing materials for senior Danone executives
  • Regular travel to New Zealand (1 week every 2 months on average)
About you
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience within Corporate Affairs or PR.

Combined with your ability to collaborate with different internal and external stakeholders, you will be able to design and deliver initiatives in line with Danone's guidelines and mission.


You will immerse yourself fully into Danone's culture and mission and collaborate with senior leaders to ensure all external messaging is consistent and accurate.


Ideally you will have:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role either internal or also in an external agency setting
  • Relevant university degree in either communications, PR or media management
  • Experience managing or significantly contributing to complex multistakeholder projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous people management experience is desired however not essential
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel regularly to New Zealand
