Joining Macquarie's Futures team in the Commodities and Global Markets Division, you will work in close conjunction with the Execution and Clearing Business in Operations.

This is a back-office role based in Sydney, working as part of a global operation which spans APAC, EMEA & North America.


This role presents the opportunity to support the Brokerage team, with the chance to cross-train in aspects of other areas of Futures Operations, as well as gain invaluable exposure to other areas within the Futures Business to develop your career.

As you progress in your career and build your understanding there will be opportunities to have an active role in projects and initiatives around system enhancements and improving automation.

You will work in an open and supportive team where you will be given structured training and opportunities to be mentored.


Key Responsibilities


In Brokerage, your primary focus will be on the providing procedural support for various fiscal controls around revenue accrual and collection streams, associated Front Office operation costs, as well as agency brokerage payment arrangements on behalf of our customers.

You will use your sound communication skills to regularly engage with various stakeholders in both the front office and Clearing teams.


About you
You will display a high attention to detail, the ability to work under time pressure & excellent organisational/communication skills. Entry-level experience in a market-based, middle office or operations role is an advatange, but not essential.

You will utilise your eye for detail, critical thinking skills and quick grasp of concepts to work and problem-solve in a multi-paced and dynamic environment which welcomes constructive input and innovative ideas from all members of the team.
