Job Description:


Mattel New Zealand are seeking an experienced and proactive Demand Planning Manager to join our Global Demand & Supply Planning team.

In this role you will lead all aspects of the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process for Australia & New Zealand, with a key focus on creating an accurate demand plan reflecting customer needs.

You will bring strong analytical and problem solving abilities, a decisive and positive attitude, and strong communication skills.

This role will commence in January 2023.


As a Demand Planning Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and adjusting product forecasts to maximize sales in different channels/customers based on forecast performance, POS/shipping trends, DFC, item productivity, and customer/consumer insights.
  • Developing strategies to improve forecast accuracy and drive improved customer fulfillment.
  • Managing the ANZ Demand and Supply planning team including career development and training.
  • Reviewing and improving the current planning processes.
  • Managing overall market inventory and leading initiatives to improve inventory health.
  • Proactively partnering with commercial teams and improving the transparency and frequency of communications across cross functional departments.
  • Meeting with selected key customers as required to develop joint forecasts and fillrate improvement.
  • Leading, motivating and managing a team of 4 direct reports, including coaching and counselling to enhance performance.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply-Chain (MBA a plus).
  • Minimum 57 years experience in a supply chain (Planning) leadership role of increasing responsibility.
  • Leadership/management experience of direct reports.
  • Proficiency with Powerpoint/Excel, experience using JDA/Blue Yonder, Tableau, and Cognos.
  • Open to travel when required and collaborate with crossregional teams.
  • Results and solutionoriented, with ability to influence and achieve expected results independently by establishing effective crossfunctional relationships.
  • Leadership, team building and Communication: Promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork across the organization with ability to breakdown silos while driving change and execution.
