About Unique Metals Laser

About the role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be based in Tullamarine and will take responsibility to provide shift supervision and management of people and equipment to achieve the desired output and efficiency from the manufacturing process during the shift, at the required quality level.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Manage, train and lead production staff
Assist with the successful running of day to day production
Ensuring customer's orders are completed in full and on time
Actively promote Quality Assurance/ Quality Control requirements
Actively promote company OSH&E systems
Manage production equipment, stocks and consumables
Manage the continual growth of the branch production requirements and efficiencies
Participate in the induction and development of new team members
Maintain scheduled maintenance programs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Support the Branch Manager in instilling the required culture by personal instruction, example and leadership

Minimum of 2 years supervision experience in the Laser cutting industry / Manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
Excellent organisational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in Quality control systems.
Forklift licence and Drivers licence is essential.
