The Opportunity


BDA is looking for an Integrated Planning and Scheduling (IP&S) Execution Lead with extensive experience delivering large scale multidisciplinary projects and programs to join our Airpower Teaming System (ATS) Program.

The ATS Program will deliver a new uncrewed aircraft using artificial intelligence to be that force multiplier. It is designed to work as a smart team with existing military aircraft to complement and extend airborne missions.

The ATS platform has enough capability to get the job done - from ISR to tactical early warning and more - but with a low-cost design that allows operators to confidently put it on the front line.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the IP&S capability team who support a range of complex campaigns, projects and programs based across our national business.

Applicants based or willing to move to Melbourne are preferred but applicants from other locations will also be considered.


Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct and guide development, implementation and optimisation of the Master Production Schedule and all integrated planning, scheduling, change and baseline management best practices, processes, techniques and tools.
  • Support and enable the execution of overall ATS Program and broader business objectives as a key member and trusted partner of the ATS Program Management and Integrated Business Team / broader business.
  • Strategically analyse and provide forward focused, riskbased / value adding reporting / advice to various stakeholders and levels of management. Develop and implement recovery / improvement plans and recommend tailored solutions and/or advanced IP&S approaches to unique or unusually challenging and complex problems.
  • Oversee IP&S Quality Assurance Plan compliance and ensure all IP&S deliverables, techniques and outputs are consistent and comply with PMBP's and applicable Boeing Enterprise Stage Gate Process requirements, associated business policies, procedures and standards.
  • Primary IP&S focal and escalation point for all ATS Program IP&S services and outcomes.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Strong negotiation, communication and organizational skills
  • Extensive experience in Project Planning, Project Scheduling, Earned Value and Performance Management Systems in a commercial environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading a successful execution team within a large and complex project/program.
  • Thorough understanding of critical path analysis and the ability to tailor information and data for presentation to various stakeholders and levels of management.
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.

Essential

  • Prior experience with Open Plan Professional (OPP), Cobra and the Defence Industry.
  • Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance

Desirable

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Business or Management field is desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to exert influence at multiple organizational levels.
  • High level communication and negotiation skills with a strong focus on building successful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
