Your new role


We have a new and exciting opportunity for a qualified librarian to join us as a Coordinator, Research Services to take the lead role in the development of Library research services related to research data management, repository management, and open research practices.

The role provides expert advice and support for Library's contribution to research initiatives aligned to the University's strategic plan, develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensures researchers and higher degree by research (HDR) students are provided with training and education support related to current and emerging Library research services.

Working within the University Library, in this role you will have outstanding knowledge in scholarly communication to be able to:

  • Provide training, support and advice to staff and HDR students on research data management strategy, and the deposit of research outputs into the institutional repository.
  • Provide advocacy and expert knowledge in evolving areas such as open research and FAIR principles.
  • Ensure coordinated development between the Library and University research services and systems.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and management of staff.
Key people interactions will be Library staff and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
