The Reporting Analyst is a key member supporting the Reporting and Taxation team in preparation for all required annual, half-yearly and monthly financial reports, compiling financial information, contributes to finance projects, reconciling the general ledger and giving financial reporting advice.

Top three contributions:


  • Assist with the preparation of the department's financial statements, supporting schedules and appendices contained in the annual report.
  • Prepare annual and half yearly financial statements and reports for portfolio entities as required by Service Level Agreements, including liaising with portfolio entities management and VAGO auditors.
  • Contribute to managing the integrity of the general ledger by performing monthly general ledger reconciliations, reviewing accounts, transactions, and providing recommendations for process improvement.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Studies in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
  • A professional accounting qualification (CPA or CA) or close to gaining qualification.
  • A good knowledge and experience in financial reporting.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
