About the Role
As Head of Department - Mathematics, you will have responsibility for, but not limited to, the implementation of the school's explicit improvement agenda that includes:

Thinking strategically and innovatively in the approach to curriculum, pedagogy and staff professional growth to ensure continuous improvement of the school's educational programs.
Leading the implementation of the Australian Curriculum Version 9 Mathematics and the QCAA Senior Mathematics Curricular.
Supporting the Learning progression for all students within a framework of equity and excellence.
Consistent approach to pedagogy to reduce variance of impacts.
Strengthening high performance in senior outcomes.
Strengthen staff and student wellbeing.
Playing a lead role in the development, implementation and ongoing review of the school's explicit improvement agenda.
Building staff capability through a problem of practice approach to improvement, collaborative empowerment through a faculty based professional learning teams, coaching and mentoring.
Embedding of the Mount Gravatt High Approach to Pedagogy.
Implementing the Mount Gravatt High Curriculum Planning Process.
