**Meet Athena, the Home Loan Wrecker
Customers switching to Athena are saving ~ $60,000 over the life of their loans.

Since launch, Athena has settled over $1.9b in home loans, and saved borrowers over $200m in interest savings - and grown to become one of Australia's largest fintechs.


93% of borrowers want to pay their home loan faster, but only 1-in-5 think their bank wants them to succeed.

Legacy lenders are failing borrowers in meeting this challenge. Athena designed the mortgage experience from the ground up to deliver on this mission. And it is having an impact - 80% of Athena's customers are already ahead.

Borrowers are sick of loyalty tax, where new customers get great rates and existing customers see theirs creep upwards. Loyalty tax has grown to over 50bp, costing borrowers billions.

In an Australian first, Athena promises to never offer new customers a lower interest rate than existing customers with Automatic Rate Match.

Only 7% of home loan borrowers refinance each year. The majority could get a better deal.

Legacy lenders use complexity as a superpower:
too hard, too slow, too little transparency, too much small print. Athena's innovative digital platform has been designed to eliminate these barriers.


Athena has built Australia's first cloud-native home loan platform, covering the full value chain to acquire, originate, service and fund residential mortgages.

Fintechs targeting mortgages are typically only focusing on a narrow layer of the value chain (e.g. originations), then handing back to legacy bank systems. By tackling the full stack, Athena aims to cut the cost of running a mortgage business by 70% vs. legacy players, providing sustainable advantage.


Athena has raised $115m in equity funding to date in four funding rounds from leading investors including AirTree Ventures, Apex Capital, AustralianSuper, Hostplus, Macquarie Bank, RESIMAC Group, Rice Warner, Square Peg and Sunsuper.

Most recently in October 2019, Athena closed $70m in Series C funding - the largest ever Australia-led venture capital investment round.

Customer feedback has been phenomenal. On Trustpilot, Athena has the highest rating of Excellent, with a score of 4.6/5 from almost 800 reviews. NPS is +92, exponentially higher than the Big 4 average NPS of +2.8 and bank industry average of +8.2.

**Role overview

The Product team are well underway in building out our vision of having the industries finest products across our Application Platform, the Origination Ecosystem, Lending.

We want to have products and processes that free our customers and our Athena users from the shackles of debt, red tape, and manual process


The Change Manager will work in the Originate Product team, reporting to the Head of Product - Originate, and will lead the Change Function as a solo flyer The Change manager will look after everything from Change Governance and Framework to hands on support for Change Activities in delivery and everything in between.


The role will be heavily supported by a team of Business Analysts, Product Owners and Managers, and representatives from the business channels all swarming around the delivery of excellent change outcomes across small and large projects and BAU change.

A Change Manager in the product team will have a heavy focus on


Change Governance

  • Maintain an Always On sync and view of change across Athena from both the Product Team and Business Teams including establishing and managing a change governance operating rhythm
  • Coordinating and sequencing changes and delivery between the Product and Business Teams considering availability of change, delivery, and resources
  • Lead the impact assessment of all changes on the delivery roadmap

Project and Change Delivery

  • Planning and supporting the execution of change readiness activities
  • Leading and coordinating business readiness and embedding plans
  • Build comms plans and write comms at an Athena, Business Team, and Project level
  • Support the scheduling and planning of training
  • Support businesses with non platform Project delivery including change and comms

BAU Change Management

  • Support businesses and squads with small to medium platform changes and comms as part of the interative Agile environment
  • Support with BAU changes, providing change assessment, planning, comms and any readiness required
**About You

To be successful in this role you will have experience across process and product analysis, delivery of features and projects on core platforms, and working in a product or agile environment with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Your experience will include

  • 23 years + experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Delivery of features and projects at all difference scales and complexities
