_Engineering Manager __to _
_supervise and ensure high quality technical services are always provided for internal and external projects. _ - The role is a _
_fulltime position__ in the heart of CBD Melbourne with a package of _
_up to 200K (+Super). _ - For this role, you will require to hold high expertise in _
_Hydrogen, Renewable energy engineering or either __chemical /electrical engineering_

- Reporting to the CEO and based in Melbourne, you will develop the Company's business activities in Australia by managing technical aspects of the projects relating to HQ's Energy Transformation (EX) strategy, including renewable energy, hydrogen production and enduse cases._
_ Key responsibilities include:
_
- _Assess technical feasibility of renewable energy and hydrogen production projects_
- _Conduct technical and environmental due diligence on acquisition opportunities_
- _Develop and review technical inputs to financial modelling_
- _Liaise with internal & external project parties, including project partners, lenders/clients' technical personnel advisors, insurance providers, electricity supplier's technical personnel and maintain good networking_
- _Coordinate and interface with other functional groups (Japanese HQ and other relevant subsidiaries), including Business Development & Portfolio Management Team, Finance Team and Finance Control Team._
- _Assist the Company's other team members during negotiations of project documents; direct negotiation on technical issues of project documents_
- _Prepare PQ/RFP documents, evaluate EPC technical bids and negotiate EPC contracts_
- _Understand local conditions and requirements (e.g. social licence, environment, risk, NGOs etc) and ensure project organisations are capable of monitoring changes and developments in local environments._
A little about you
- _Bachelor or Master degree in relevant engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering_
- _Minimum 7_
_ __years of experience in power, renewable energy or related fields, hydrogen related experience will be an advantage_
- _Minimum 5_
_ __years in an engineering position with a renewable energy developer, energy company or engineering consultancy firm_
- _Proven experience in site selection and prospecting, conducting techno-economic evaluation, technical due diligence of renewable energy projects_
- _Broad understanding of engineering principles and commercial impact of engineering decisions and actively uses this understanding in communication with other team members_
- _Familiar with project documentation such as EPC contracts, PPA, ESIA, etc._
- _Good people and communication skills, and track record of effective communication with clients, project partners and contractors at all levels in a work-setting_
- _Willingness to travel (both domestic and overseas) as required_
Location
- Melbourne CBD_
ANNUAL SALARY
- Up to $200,000 base + Super_
- 9:00am5:00pm Monday to Friday_
WORK FLEXIBILITY
- Full Onsite at the initial stage (requirement). _Followingly, _Optional remote/flexible work is negotiable._
- April to May 2023_
