Job Title:
Health & Safety Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Officer to join our team based in North Ryde.

You will be part of the APAC Market Health and Safety team, reporting to the APAC H&S Leader and where you can take full use of your expertise and experience in health and safety.

You will be pivotal in improving the Philips H&S performance and reducing operational risks by driving the Philips Health and Safety Program in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

Your role**:

Monitor and ensure our commercial activities comply with the H&S laws and regulations in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ)
Maintain and update applicable EHS licenses and permits.
Deploy and comply with Philips Corporate Safety Standards and APAC EHS Programs.
Providing technical support to commercial projects, including Merger and Acquisition projects and managing contractor safety.
Leading and coaching employees in the offices and in the field on the deployment of health and safety programs, such as safety Gemba, risk assessment, Accident/Incident reporting, LOTO, etc.
Conduct regular training and audits
Implementing ISO45001 certifications for ANZ
This can be a full time or 4 day per week position.

You're the right fit if:

You are passionate about Work Health and Safety, you value compliance, are risk averse, observant and you have 24 years' experience in a similar position in an international business environment and tertiary qualification in WHS Management
Familiar with the implementation of the ISO45001 management system or a certified internal auditor
You have exceptional interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal

- combined with the ability to relate to and influence people at all levels and adapt your approach as required.

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, well organized.
