A great opportunity is available for an experienced,
trailblazing
Manufacturing Manager to join our team in a high impact role based at our
Virginia manufacturing site.

As the Manufacturing Manager, you will be working with a strong and committed team to deliver superior products to our customers.

You will be responsible for managing line KPI's, particularly in relation to safety, quality, operating costs, labour and production plans.

You will drive and implement operational excellence programs and have the opportunity to strategise future continuous improvement and capital projects to accelerate improved productivity.


The Accountabilities:


  • Lead the teams "hands on" while embracing methodologies to sustain behaviors and processes that support and encourage a healthy people safety culture.
  • Monitor and devise improvements when required to eliminate or minimise consumer complaints & poor product quality.
  • Ensure daily production outputs are achieved and customer requirements met
  • Analyse and improve OEE and other efficiency measures for all production processes; monitoring and reducing all material/product losses.
  • Effective supervision of all manufacturing responsibilities link to your area of management
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture, identifying variances to standard and embedding corrective actions.
  • Create a learning organisation where the right people are in the right place at the right time with the right skills and competencies.
  • Performance management of the manufacturing and associated teams to ensure fulfillment of their core roles and responsibilities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis relating to plant reliability or process issues.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing team members comply with all Arnott's Group standards, policies, and SOPs.
  • Support the implementation of plans to improve team engagement and build a positive workplace culture.

The Ingredients for Success:

Just like you can't make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science or Food Discipline (desirable).
  • Significant experience and a proven record in manufacturing, preferably FMCG, management experience at midsenior level >5years
  • People leadership and coaching expertise.
  • Experience in implementing continuous improvement / lean practices.
  • Logical and analytical thinker, with superior problemsolving abilities.
  • High level of organisational skill and attention to detail when required.
  • Welldeveloped management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines whilst working in highpressure situations.
  • Strong behavioral safety understanding and ethics.
  • Extensive experience in production planning processes.
  • Practical understanding of GMP, SQF, HACCP, HAZOPS and customer standards.
  • Ability to develop and maintain budgets.
  • Strong communication skills at the appropriate level for all stakeholders active listening, written, verbal and formal presentation as required.
  • Change management certification and/or experience
