Outbound Warehouse Manager (PM Shift)

Our Outbound Manager has the responsibility of ensuring the performance of our Fulfilment Centre is managed to a tee and we focus on delivering an exceptional experience to our customers.

Strong adherence to compliance with all WHS and providing a safe workplace is of paramount importance for us. You will be tasked with creating an environment of continuous improvement whilst maintaining an engaged and motivated team. You will manage the operational budget along with input and execution related to strategic projects.


You will be leading our PM Outbound team which will require you onsite at Eastern Creek 2770 between 2.30pm pm.


What you'll be doing

  • Meeting daily picking, packing and dispatch KPIs
  • Maintain an engaged and motivated team
  • Ensure staff are crossed trained in functions to provide coverage across the fulfilment centre
  • In consultation with Senior Management develop and maintain skills matrix and performance management for all team members
  • Ensure all staff are inducted and compliant with all WHS and company policies as well as any legislative requirements. Identify possible risks & continually promote safety amongst employees
  • Develop staff through coaching and training to create a strong operational team with an eye to succession planning
  • Work with Operations Manager to produce rosters that align with the budget and the customer output required
  • Identify, create, replace, refine and clearly document all processes
  • Contribute to operational strategic plans; implementing productivity and quality standards and identifying warehouse system improvements
  • Execute the site strategic plans as communicated by the Senior Management team
  • Create, plan, monitor and implement strategies to minimise stock damage sustained in the warehouse
  • Leads in the recruitment of new team members to meet operational goals
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in identifying, despatching and assuring quality and cleanliness of goods
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee's performance including delivery of oneonones and regular toolbox talks
  • Form strong working relationship with other areas of the business with a focus on category, planning and technical
  • Propose, implement and review KPIs based on warehouse operations, costs, quality, service, safety and people
  • Maintain the fulfilment centre with the highest level of commitment to good housekeeping
Other duties as assigned from time to time*- You will be accountable for performance across dispatch, including managing resources, daily capacity planning, data analysis, customer service levels, KPIs and continuous improvement strategies


Your Ideal Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience managing warehouse operations in a fastpaced B2C sector (eCommerce would be ideal)
  • Proven ability to motivate, engage and develop team members
  • Evidence of strong performance and promotion through other businesses
  • An empathetic and positive approach to leadership
  • Clear track record of delivering value to a growing fulfilment centre operation
