Disability Liaison Officer

Make a difference in the lives of people with a disability:


  • Allied Health Grade 3 or equivalent:
-
Part time fixed term to April hours/fortnight)

  • As a senior clinician, you will provide key clinical services and leadership as the disability liaison officer. This role involves the provision of support for people with disability, their families, and carers to access relevant assessment and treatment. You will also undertake outreach where there is evidence that people with disability are not accessing relevant and essential hospital services.

Your new role:


  • Provide disabilityspecific secondary consultation to support the assessment centre and broader health service to provide more accessible, safe, and inclusive care to people with disability, particularly with respect to assessment and treatment for coronavirus.
  • Work directly with disability service providers across the network identifying key staff within facilities who can assist in awareness and creation of health care pathways and accessibility.
  • Enjoy a collaborative working environment.
  • Support access to health care for people with a disability.

About you:


  • You are a qualified health professional with current registration with AHPRA (where relevant), or you are eligible for membership of relevant professional association.
  • You demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills and stakeholder management skills.
