Who are we looking for?


Join us in contributing to the preparation of budgets and financial management documentation across various business units and projects within our client portfolio.

You'll be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, monitoring and analysis of accounts, reconciliations and journal entries.

By joining forces with your colleagues within the Finance Department, you'll provide timely, accurate and high-quality advice to academic and professional staff and management, enabling them to make informed financial and resource decisions.


About the Division


Finance Business Solutions (FBS) is a crucial part of the Chancellery Division, responsible for ensuring the financial and planning viability of the University in achieving its strategic goals.

The FBS Division is responsible for a range of important functions, including business strategy, financial advisory support, budgeting, forecasting, capital and equipment finance management and accounting policy.

What you need to succeed


Your expertise and initiative, combined with your ability to work as an excellent team player will be vital to your success in this role.


You will demonstrate:

  • Completed a degree in a related discipline and have relevant experience in financial administration.
  • Professional membership with The Australian Society of CPA, Institute of Chartered Accountants, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience managing financial accounts, budgets, and forecasts while maintaining accurate financial statements and records.
  • Clear and concise communication skills to provide advice on financial and other data to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, gathering and integrating information from various sources to enable accurate and strategic decision making.
  • A commitment to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation of processes and services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to establish rapport quickly, manage collaborative working relationships, engage with a diverse client group, and work effectively in a highperforming team.
  • Advanced digital literacy skills to successfully use spreadsheets and accounting systems, including Oracle financials or similar.
