The role:
The tax consulting practice has grown considerably under the leadership of specialist Directors and they now seek a highly motivated Corporate Tax Consultant to support the team in the delivery of high level client services.
This is a highly sought-after opportunity, you will get exposure to a wide range of tax issues and compliance matters working across a portfolio of a variety of different industries.
Some of the tasks you will be assigned include:
- Prepare corporate and family group tax requirements.
- Analyse, prepare and finalise complete sets of complex financial accounts including income tax returns and work papers and tax effect accounting calculations.
- Undertake appropriate tax due diligence assignments.
- Liaise with the ATO regarding client matters.
- Research and draft complex tax letters of advice.
- Support the team through researching relevant updates and legislation and put forward your recommendations.
- Maintain thorough understanding of accounting standards and Tax rulings as they relate to the work undertaken.
- Preserve direct point of contact for your portfolio of clients via meetings, written work and over the phone correspondence to effectively build and manage these relationships.
- Prepare information which relates to the billings.
- Help mentor and develop technical skills of graduates.
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Completed a relevant undergraduate degree.
- Commenced or completed CA or Masters of Tax.
- 23 years' experience in a taxspecific consulting role.
- PC Literate in Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills and a great team player.
- Advanced critical reasoning skills with a strong attention to detail.
- A genuine interest in taking ownership of your work and demonstrating initiative.
