About the Role


The Workshop Maintenance Supervisor will focus on maintaining safety, maximising services and continuous improvement, including preventative maintenance of assets per manufacturer's recommendations, manuals and RiverCity Ferries requirements.


The Workshop Maintenance Supervisor will participate in and support the ongoing integration of Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality (HSEQ) and Asset Management Systems (AMS).


Duties

  • Supervise and lead the team to complete required daily maintenance activities
  • Lead Toolbox and prestart meetings
  • Perform periodic inspections of recently maintained equipment
  • Resolve operational or technical equipment problems
  • Provide immediate responses to emergency work orders
  • Drive and maintain project timelines and budgets

  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines

Essential Qualifications

  • Trade (Diesel Engine) Qualification (desirable)
  • Drivers licence
  • Work within confined spaces ticket
  • Working at heights ticket
  • Senior First Aid certificate (desirable)

Experience

  • 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor (essential)
  • Marine experience (essential)
  • Experience with CMMS (MEX highly desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of technical trades, cleaning procedures and heavy diesel maintenance
  • Solid understanding of health and safety legislation and workplace practices
  • Familiarity with relevant health and safety standards and regulations
  • Indepth knowledge of relevant assets
