The Role
We are looking to recruit a purchasing officer to join one of Australia's most well known brands.

This role will be an initial 6 month contract role with the view to extend.

Our client is a leading manufacturer enjoying an extensive brand portfolio. Due to growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen to support in the purchasing departmnet.

Based in the

head office South of Brisbane's CBD your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the purchasing orders across a large portfolio of SKUs from suppliers both local and overseas.
  • Track orders and liaise with staff to keep them informed of delivery schedules
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure product deliveries are properly scheduled
  • Review specifications of purchased products
  • Following up and addressing price discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders
  • Maintain accurate ERP Inventory data and utilise excel.
  • Effectively engage internal spend owners and external suppliers to ensure a smooth and consistent procurement process
  • Ad Hoc Admin support as required.

To be successful you'll have:


  • Ideally 12 years' experience in a purchasing role and experience in managing new and existing suppliers within a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of purchasing principles as well as wider knowledge of Supply Chain.
  • Use of SAP, Ariba, Microsoft Excel.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Positive attitude, resilient. Enjoy working as part of a team and well as individually.
  • Understanding of Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).
