The population of the Territory is diverse and spread across city, regional, and remote communities.

The Northern Territory Government, supported by a professional public sector, works to ensure the delivery or services to provide a safe and resilient Territory in which to live.


Appointed as Commissioner for Public Employment under the _Public Sector Employment and Management Act 1993,_ the role carries sector wide responsibility for providing an effective employment framework for the management and development of the Public Sector across the Territory.

Together with other CEO colleagues, the Commissioner acts as a steward across the broader public service as well as partnering with other agencies on key reforms to build an agile, capable and engaged workforce to deliver on the priorities of the government of the day.


This is an opportunity for an experienced executive to make a substantial difference by successfully leading, guiding, coaching, and facilitating cooperation across the Public Sector, as well as with key government, unions, industry, community and Aboriginal stakeholders across the NT.

A key focus of the Commissioner will be to enhance the capacity and capability of the public service and drive ideas to ensure it reflects the communities it serves across the Territory.


A well-respected executive, you have ideally led multi-disciplinary teams across disciplines such as HR and workforce within either the public or private sector.

You bring a high level of drive and motivation to delivering shared services, while taking a common-sense and pragmatic approach.


You will have a passion for collaborating to deliver public services that improve the lives and wellbeing of your community.

Your eye for crafting solutions and your approachability are key qualities which have seen you succeed in your career to date.
