The Finance Officer is responsible for the provision of a high quality business advisory service supporting the strategic priorities of the Corporate Divisions, for the effective and efficient financial management of the Divisions, compliance with legislative frameworks and state and national policy settings and achievement of strategic financial goals and objectives.

The Finance Officer ensures that financial reporting and analysis to the Divisions is provided in an expert manner that supports DE officers with effective decision-making and compliance with budgeting and financial frameworks.


The Finance Officer works within a team to contribute to the effective operation of the business advisory service in developing, monitoring and improving financial management practices and outcomes in the Corporate Services Divisions.


Qualifications:


Essential:
An appropriate tertiary qualification in accountancy, finance, business management or a relevant discipline


Desirable:
CA/CPA accreditation.


Special Conditions:


The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:


ASO5:
$83,273 - $92,614
