About the role:


As an Assistant Director you'll form part of the regions Senior Leadership Team, working with the Regional Director to manage the operational aspects of specific service delivery areas including Community Services, Family Services, Quality and Administration.

This position covers our Gippsland region with offices in Morwell, Bairnsdale, Wonthaggi and Warragul.


You will be responsible for delivering high quality and responsive services against our operational requirements and developing these services in line with the overall Anglicare Victoria (AV) Strategy.

We want you to bring your operational and managerial skills, a committed and compassionate approach, and a growth mindset with a strategic intent, to improve the lives of vulnerable children youth and families in Victoria.


  • High levels of emotional intelligence so you can lead with empathy.
  • An engaging, warm, and personable approach to leadership.
  • Experienced in leading large teams across varied portfolios.
  • You will bring a comprehensive understanding and experience in the human service delivery system, with particular reference to Child Protection, Out of Home Care, and relevant theoretical frameworks and evidencebased models relating to children and young people.
  • Exceptional Leadership capability in respect to people, performance and outcomes in both internal operations and the delivery of great outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management.
  • Capacity to foresee, manage and resolve service, financial and human resource issues at a local level and in line with organisational policies, standards and expectations proactively and expertly.

  • A total salary package of $170,000 to $175,000.
