YOUR NEW ROLE


The role is responsible for the coordination of injury management services for employees with work related and non-work-related injuries with the goal achieving a timely, efficient and sustainable return to work.


This role provides leadership, advice and direction to the Health Centre, Injury Management and Wellbeing advisor and is the focal point for all contact, liaison and review, particularly with the injured employee, their supervisor, treating doctor, and accredited rehabilitation provider, if necessary.


The position holder must ensure compliance with legislative requirements and Sydney Opera House Policies and Procedures with respect to injury management and return to work for injured employees.


The Safety Team is a multi-disciplinary team that works together to inspire and assist the organisation achieve a safe workplace and healthy, engaged employees.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

We are looking for someone with:

  • Extensive experience in injury management, including complex case management.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience working with insurers, legislative instruments, policies, and processes.
  • Experience in developing and implementing health and wellbeing programs.
  • Strong case management skills, including diplomacy, problem solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in high volume and demanding professional environment with capacity to priorities competing demands and achieve results.
  • Proven interpersonal, negotiation and highlevel communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accreditation or qualification in Return to Work (e.g. Certificate).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation Counselling, or a relevant field.
