Our client -
SME Healthcare company in the IVD and surgical market segments is looking for a
Chief Executive Officer who will take responsibility for sales management, SCM, Customer Service, Finance, Regulatory and Scientific Affairs.

Preferably based in North Sydney.


Responsibilities

  • Fiduciary duty to act in the best interests of the organisation
  • Determining objectives, strategies, policies and programs for the Australian organisation
  • Providing overall direction and management to organisations
  • Authorising material, human and financial resources to implement organisational strategy, policies and programs
  • Monitoring and evaluating performance of organisations against organisational objectives, strategies and annual & midterm plan
  • Consulting with senior subordinate staff and reviewing recommendations and reports
  • Preparing, or arranging for the preparation of, reports, budgets and forecasts and presenting them to governing bodies
  • Representing the organisation at official occasions, in negotiations, at conventions, seminars, public hearings and forums, and liaising between areas of responsibility
  • Selecting, or approving the selection of senior staff
  • Ensuring the organisation complies with company laws and other relevant legislation
  • Setting annual and midterm financial planning in conjunction with regional and corporate HQ
  • Prepare market reports on potential new business opportunities in both the surgical and IVD market segments
  • Collaborate and ensure that European and North American suppliers support the Australian business effectively
  • Personal management of both direct and distribution sales channels
  • Ensure organisation maintains ISO standard registration and achieves additional standards required for the growth of the business.
  • Ensure all internal and external financial and quality audits are approved
  • Management of regulatory affairs to ensure all products are registered with the TGA and have the appropriate import permits in place
  • Legal responsibility for Health and Safety of employees, technology users and patient impact
  • Post graduate diploma in Marketing or equivalent
  • Post graduate development in health economics and finance
  • Qualified Company Director Course or Fellowship e.g., AICD Australia or IOD UK
  • Leadership and Management, qualified to ILM3 or equivalent

Experience must include:


  • 10 years' experience as registered company director or managing director in both diagnostics and the surgical marketplace.
  • Full P&L responsibility for >$15m organisation
  • Leadership of Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs (Health and Science) Finance, Customer Service, Technical Service.
  • Sales, Marketing experience in the following healthcare fields:
  • Surgical instrumentation including robot assisted robotic
  • Research based diagnostic technology in academia and research organisations.
  • Biotechnology
  • IVD based diagnostics including molecular, next generation sequencing, PCR, microbiology, haematology, flow cytometry, digital pathology and LIS IT systems, managed service contracts.
  • Have existing Australian network of senior 'C' Suite strategic decision makers in public and private hospitals, public and commercial laboratories, universities, and cancer surgeon KOLs
  • Have in country management experience in European and North American markets.
  • Managing distributors as well as direct sales channels.
  • Public policy leadership ensuring that the organisations technologies are represented to policy makers so that they can make informed decisions regarding new healthcare policy setting.

Benefits:


  • Full time and permanent position
  • Salary package: AUD $170K $250K (depending on work experience)

Salary:
$170, $250,000.00 per year
