Company:


This civil construction company is looking for an experienced Construction Manager who comes from a heavy civil and bulk earthworks background.

The company provides a range of Civil Engineering construction services throughout Australia, with this position being part of a team involved in the development of infrastructure in QLD.


Main Duties:


As Construction Manager, you will be managing and controlling all aspects of the projects including H&S, Commercial & Contractual Aspects, overall planning and programming of the works, staffing and management of the team, and management of sub contracted staff to meet project objectives and deadlines.

Projects are ranging in value from $30m - $200m.

  • Other key responsibilities include:
  • Managing all operational aspects of specific projects
  • Working closely with the estimating and planning team in initial project start up phase
  • Managing the interfacing with the client and other key stake holders.
  • Regularly reporting to the senior management on project progress and commercial matters.
  • Providing information and managing tender submissions.

About You:


  • Previous demonstrated experience in delivering significant infrastructure projects through management of a team.
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or construction related qualification
  • Min 8 + years post graduate experience
  • Previously demonstrated experience in successfully delivering projects.
  • Chartership considered highly beneficial but not essential.
  • A practical minded handson approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills
  • A solutionsorientated attitude with a desire to be a leader.
  • Flexible to work on a FIFO roster (varying rosters available: 10/4, 15/6, 21/7 etc.)

  • A package which is in line with the technical nature of the project which includes Salary of between $170k$250k + package
