About the role


As an Assistant In Nursing, your role will be to assist with direct care activities of daily living and providing support to the Registered and Enrolled Nurses on shift.

You will provide all fundamentals of care and contributing to the maintenance of physically and culturally safe environment for patients and staff.

Assistance in Nursing work within the plan.

Key Responsibilities


Provision support to the nursing team in the delivery of nursing care in an acute care environment as directed by the registered nurse.


Provide direct care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under supervision of the registered nurse.

Assist registered and enrolled nurses with patient care interventions as directed

contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required

Communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol

What you bring

Currently working towards or completed 2nd Year or currently in 3rd Year, in Bachelor of Nursing.

For student, a minimum of 2 placements within the last 12 months and be able to provide summative Facilitator reports

Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation

Ability to work independently and effectively manage time

Proficiency in use of technology such as computer skills for electronic notes

A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
