About Our Client:

Grains Research & Development Corporation (GRDC) invests in RD&E to create enduring profitability for the Australian grains industry. These investments drive the discovery, development, and delivery of world-class innovation.


The Corporate Services Manager, in consultation with the Head of Finance and Chief Financial Officer is to oversee the management of corporate services including Fleet management, office management, Travel management and other corporate contracts.


  • Fleet management oversee the management of the fleet vehicles. This includes regular meetings with external fleet management company, organising restructure of contracts, ensuring maintenance records are up to date and liaising with drivers where necessary.
  • Oversee the Canberra Office redesign and fitout in partnership with the Project Manager
  • Oversee the executive and corporate support function, including front of house.
  • Oversee facilities in Canberra to ensure they are well maintained.
  • Liaise with Travel management company to ensure issues are dealt with quickly. Attend regular meetings with account manager and ensure targets are being met.
  • Oversee contracts with airlines to ensure contracts are current and discounts are being applied. Attend regular meetings with respective airline account managers.
  • GRDC point of contact for Canberra office reorganisation. Liaise with project manager, architects and GRDC management.
  • Assist with rollout of corporate contract management system.

The Successful Applicant:


  • Ability to lead and develop a small team.
  • A history of managing, leading and collaboration across business functions and teams successfully.
  • Strong analytical skills and the capacity to leverage off external expertise and think strategically, including the ability to provide sound project and issue advice
  • Highly developed presentation, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to influence, motivate and develop others
  • Proven ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders

Mandatory Requirements:


  • Demonstrated 5+ years in a similar role
  • Must be prepared to travel as and when required
  • Must be willing to undergo all Preemployment Medical checks
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
