About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Purchasing and Supply Officer to join the Santos team.

The position reports to one of our Supply Leads and the role is focused on improving purchasing efficiencies while supporting our assets with materials sourcing and planning.

The role is responsible for planning and executing all activities involved in the procurement and supply of materials at transactional level of services into the organization.

Key accountabilities:

  • Reviewing potential vendors, negotiate agreements and expedite materials and services for stakeholders
  • Providing support to supply chain initiatives focusing on minimising working capital, obsolescence, and material costs
  • Troubleshooting purchasing and supply chain issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, to deliver integrated supply chain solutions
  • Unlocking supply excellence via a focus on cost, delivery and quality targets

About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following key skills and experience:

  • Strong computer skills with ERP systems exposure, ideally SAP
  • Intermediate to advance excel for report generation and data analysis (desirable)
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills
  • Mature and able to manage conflicting priorities and tight timelines
  • Goal orientated and competent to work in a dynamic schedule and project time frames
  • Demonstrated experience working and collaborating with teams
Ideally, you will also hold tertiary qualifications or higher education certificates in supply chain, commerce, law, engineering or a related discipline
