Description

We require an experienced Design Systems (CAD - Computer Aided Design) Software specialist to undertake a key technical support role within a large globally recognised blue chip organisation currently undertaking a large multi billion dollar manufacturing program of works.

Your experience will include experience in using/supporting 3D CAD systems on large engineering projects, understanding of Detailed Design process, working from an IM&T help desk system, familiar with the ITIL framework, and having worked within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Your role will include:

Providing support to users of the primary 3D modelling and 2D drawing software
Good problem solving skills to identify root cause of issues and develop resolution to software issues Raising issues with Vendors
Configuration of the CAD system to support the business requirements
Develop and document processes and procedures in conjunction with the end users to maximise the benefit from the Engineering tools
Script development.
Work closely with Business Analysts to develop solutions
Interaction with Projects personnel for modelling requirements definition.
Creation of training course materials and training delivery.
Assist with the definition of CAD software enhancement requirement.
User Access management.
Assess new versions of the Engineering software from the supplier for benefits to the business. Provide input to decision on whether to adopt new versions of the software.
Creation and execution of test plans for new software versions
