Cutting Edge Plumbing & Building Services are looking for a 1st Year Apprentice Carpenter that is energetic, enthusiastic and has the urgency to learn a trade

We are a small company that specialises in plumbing, carpentry and roofing so must be open to engaging in all aspects of these areas.

The successful applicant will work towards completing a Certificate III in Carpentry or a plumbing certificate.

While working under the supervision of a qualified carpenter and plumber, you will be assisting them in their duties while training and gaining a better understanding of the trade.
You will assist a qualified carpenter with construction and remodelling projects, not limited to decks, pergolas, drainage, landscaping and re-roofs.

You will learn and practice essential carpentry skills on the job, maintain a safe work environment, set-up and maintain tools for your supervising carpenter and follow instructions regarding work and tasks.

You will be enrolled in this course via distant education and be given time each week to conduct the theory side of the apprenticeship, which must be completed in the time allocated.

Prior experience is not needed but some training with power and hand tools is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills are required to coordinate with co-workers and with other trades people.

Must have successfully completed year 10 high school level. Own transport and drivers' licence is required. Should have a keen interest in carpentry or building and learning other trade skills as well.

Full - time employment. Mon - Fri with some weekend work may be required
