Role Purpose


The purpose of this role is to deliver exceptional claims service and leadership under the Icare NSW workers compensation scheme.

Play a pivotal role in supporting sustainable business outcomes by working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and providing support to team managers and their teams.

The role is responsible for promoting high-level operational and customer support through people leadership, culture building, and the consistent implementation of quality operational practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daytoday operations of the teams, ensuring compliance with business and Icare expectations whilst maintaining highest client service standards.
  • Analyse relevant financial data for the business unit and provide recommendations as to how your teams can contribute to achieve a positive result.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Establish and monitor compliance and quality reviews of team members.
  • Contribute to shaping our culture through high levels of people engagement; with a view to recognising the importance of diversity
  • Lead and inspire Your Teams and internal customers to ensure delivery of targets.

Experience & Skills

Essential

  • Workers compensation and/or claims management experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Knowledge of general business and administrative practices and managing cost effective business activities
  • Experience in managing performance through qualitative and quantitative metrics.
  • Experience in recruiting, developing, and retaining individuals.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and resolving workplace conflict.

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualification in business or management
  • Industry specific qualifications in relevant field E.G PIEF Cert IV Case Management
