About the branch
Workforce Capability and Assurance provides a key enabling function, supporting the development of agency capability and providing the agency with the assurance that it continues to meet its legislative obligations.
The branch is responsible for the delivery of all human resource and people strategies, as well as protecting the agency, its people and its capabilities through an integrated protective security and integrity function.
Workforce Capability and Assurance supports employee wellbeing, as well as provides critical support to intelligence operations by oversighting the agency's use of certain powers, ensuring legislative compliance and contributing to operational outcomes.
About the role:
We are seeking 2 non ongoing
APS 5/6 staff to fill the roles of
HR Data Analysts to undertake the following duties:
- Provide the agency with best practice information and strategies relating to organisational structure and data management, and provide contemporary data extraction and manipulation in relation to workforce planning
- Engage with key agency stakeholders to develop and maintain the organisational structure and data, to support the org structure and data extraction, analysis and maintenance for current and future organisational direction, efficiency and flexibility by implementing org structure and SAP data management.
- Support organisation and SAP data extraction and manipulation to provide expert analytical input for the agency to define its key activities in order for the organisation to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage.
- Analyse workforce profile data to provide evidence based reports to the Executive to inform the development of strategies that align resources in response to emerging business priorities.
- Collaborate with the Workforce Planning Coordinator and under the guidance of Manager, People Strategy, manage operational and strategic workforce plan cycles as it relates to org structure management.
- Provide expert advice and assistance in relation to the SAP system and its integration with workforce planning, to provide workforce data and reporting credibility towards agency operational and strategic workforce planning approaches.
Skills and experience:
- Demonstrated
SAP knowledge and e
xperience extracting, analysing and manipulating workforce data and metrics activities in support of fit for purpose reports. - Excellent analytical, influencing and problem solving skills including the demonstrated ability to utilise information to produce intelligence to support decision making.
Demonstrated knowledge of Workforce planning as it relates to org structure management, and experience in SAP system and its integration with workforce planning to develop and i
mplement strategic people management plans, initiatives and workforce strategies

- High level organisational ability and project management skills.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to engage with senior management and key stakeholders and to share knowledge and learning across the broader People team.
