Our client is an industry-leading care provider that has been servicing Sydney's Inner West since 2014.

They have since grew and expanded their services across NSW and Victoria and are rapidly becoming one of Australia's most recognised providers.


Due to recent expansion, they are currently hiring an Exercise Physiologist to join their age care division and become an essential part of their growing team.


The role:

Our client challenges the traditional approach to health care delivery and is passionate about supporting older Australians to enable independence, choice and freedom.


The role will require an experienced or new graduate (AEP) Accredited Exercise Physiologist to provide exercise-based interventions to help individuals better manage day-to-day movement, build strength and meet goals.

You'll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.


New graduates welcome to apply -Newly graduated Exercise Physiologists will have the opportunity to further develop clinical skills and be supported by an attentive and knowledgeable multidisciplinary team.


What is required:

  • The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team while also working autonomously as an Exercise Physiologist
  • To have the ability to effectively prescribe home based exercise programs. _Almost all of this clients services are oneonone sessions in the patients home, though their is several weekly group classes in different locations across Sydney (including a few through TeleHealth)._
  • Provide clinical expertise as part of a holistic care plan. Develop and review intervention programs to align with client goals.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, intervention and report writing.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals, such as GPs, Case Managers and Allied Health professionals to exchange information about the background and progress of your clients.
  • Conduct exercise classes in the community and online.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Work with _a large variety of conditions across patient base, including many that are typically associated with the older population, e.g., osteoarthritis, dementia, hypertension, assorted heart conditions, Parkinson's, diabetes, stroke, cancer among many others._

Requirements:


  • Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology
  • Excellent communication and rapport building skills
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Current driver's license and roadworthy, registered and insured vehicle and willingness to use for work purposes.
  • National Police Clearance
  • Proof of full vaccination for Covid19 including booster shot (when eligible).
  • Strong communication ability and personal motivation
