About the role


This is your opportunity to create class-leading content that helps engage, retain and acquire new supporters for the work of Red Cross.

As the storyteller you will be able to find, research, interview and tell the best stories for our organisation and clients.


You will write and edit content for a variety of projects - including print, web, mobile, video, and social media - working closely with the Creative Services teams to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and articulate messaging.


What you will bring

  • Proven experience writing and producing engaging digital, print, and video content, including web copy, direct mail and eDMs, social media posts, podcasts and web galleries.
  • Skilled in conceptual and ideation and have exceptional writing and storytelling skills, including frontline messaging. Ability to understand and communicate complex issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in using content management systems and a working understanding of search engine optimization to public optimized, unique and engaging web content.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and foster trust with a diverse range of people, including those who may have experienced trauma or disadvantage.
  • Strong understanding of informed consent, strengthbased storytelling, and child protection principles.
  • Experience in developing and using communication tools, procedures, and templates. Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides.
