_Hotel Snapshot _

  • The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney is a Heritage Listed 364 room, fivestar classic hotel with dynamic conference spaces and food & beverage outlets located between Sydney's best shopping district, the central business district and Sydney Opera House. _

_The Role _

  • Manage all aspects of the Front Desk, Concierge and One Touch communications centre as an experienced, generalist 5 star hotel Department Head. Our Front Office department has a midsized team of 40+. This role reports through to the General Manager and is also supported by an Assistant Front Office Manager, One Touch Manager, Night Manager and Concierge. We also have a team of experienced Duty Managers as well as our outstanding Porters and Front Office Attendants. _

_About You _

  • As our Front Office Manager, you will lead your team from the front and inspire them to deliver Memorable Moments to our guests. _
  • To be successful in this role you will require: _
- _Experience as a Front Office Manager in a 4 or 5-star international hotel _
- _Experience managing a team of 40+ with astute people management skills including conducting performance appraisals and developing teams with training and mentoring _
- _Good business acumen and experience with budgets, rosters & managing costs. _
- _Outstanding corporate presentation & communication skills in fluent English _
- _Ability to draft original correspondence and business reports and presentations _
- _Advanced Opera PMS and Microsoft Office suite is essential _
- _Knowledge of Sydney and surroundings _
- _Ability to work extended hours on short notice due to fluctuating business demands, coverage or to attend events _


_Support _

_You will be mentored by our experienced General Manager and supported by your team of managers and front line employees. After passing your 90 day training period and initial performance appraisal you will be invited to experience a complimentary guest stay. _

_We also offer annual external leadership workshops and an individual development plan, KPIs and ongoing performance reviews. _

_Good to know _

_This role will require the ability to work a 7-day roster and flexibility with your availability and shifts. _

_We provide a 2 day Orientation, complimentary dry cleaning for corporate attire and meals in the staff cafeteria. _
