ABOUT OUR CLIENT


Our client is a highly respected & successful privately owned group of companies with a strong presence in residential housing, commercial property development and natural resources among others.


ABOUT THE ROLE


As Chief Financial Officer, in addition to the management of the group's day-to-day finance function, you will be a genuine 2IC to the CEO for strategic & commercial advice designed to future proof the organisation and facilitate its continued growth.


KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Prepare informative, internal financial reports, including monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the CEO, management, and directors as required;
  • Responsible for overseeing credit control, payroll, cash flow and financial reporting;
  • Manage and develop budgeting and forecasting;
  • Manage monthly management accounts, quarterly management reporting and facilitate the preparation statutory accounts;
  • Balance sheet management
  • Ensure the Group is compliant with accounting standards and overseeing the external audit processes;
  • Liaise with external advisors for the timely and accurate lodgement of tax and for statutory reporting purposes;
  • Oversee multiple insurance policies across the Group and being an escalation point for Workcover claims;
  • Manage and coordinate relationships with existing and new banking facilities;
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and insight to improve performance across all entities of the Company;
  • Identify areas of improvement and potential growth and efficiencies across all entities in order to ensure the Company meets and exceeds its financial targets

SKILLS & EXPERTISE
In order to be considered for this outstanding opportunity, you will:

  • Be CA/CPA accredited with proven experience in senior finance roles;
  • Experience working in a commercial environment is essential;
  • Property and Construction experience is desirable;
  • Possess strong leadership and management skills with an ability to influence and provide added value service;
  • Be capable of developing and implementing high level strategies and to engaging with internal and external senior stakeholders; and
  • Have high levels of energy, a strong inner belief in your capabilities and a drive to succeed and be a part of an exciting journey.
